Use of this website. This website is provided free for your educational (and entertainment) purposes.  We can't promise that the suggestions made for keeping cats out of your yard will work (apparently some cats have not read the instruction books or may not have visited our site.)   So there are no guarantees. You should understand that if you undertake any of our suggestions, you do so at your own risk (perhaps your neighbors will retaliate) expecially if you resort to the more extreme measures such as nuclear warheads.  Please be careful and think through what you are doing to see if there are ways that your technique might endanger children or even your own pets (cayenne pepper or moth balls, for example, might prove to be dangerous.)  Act with reason and caution.  Ultimately, of course, you are responsible for your own actions.

Disclaimer:  In some cases, I receive a small commission from the merchants of  some cat repellent products recommended (and all of the products listed in the Amazon.com shop.)  Many of the cat repellent and cat deterrent products suggested on the site can be found locally or may be things you already have in your home (garlic, cayenne pepper, plastic forks, etc.)  Always try to find the best solution for your situation. In some cases that may mean finding the cheapest, least complicated, low-tech solution.  In other cases (as your frustration levels rise) it may mean purchasing a high-tech but more expensive product  (like the Scarecrow motion-detector sprinkler) which others have found to work. The ultimate goal, of course, is to be rid of the cats, not to spend money.
